Job Description:
Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Supervising Electrician, the
Lead Electrician provides direction and oversees a small team of
skilled electricians and semi-skilled assistants. This team is
responsible for a wide range of electrical tasks, including the
installation, maintenance, modification, and repair of electrical
systems and equipment.
The Lead Electrician plans and coordinates workflows for assigned
tasks and projects, which includes preparing materials lists and
ordering supplies. Working closely with the team, the Lead
Electrician ensures that all work is carried out as assigned.
Additionally, they provide instruction to team members, ensure that
work is conducted safely and in compliance with regulations, and
inspect completed work to meet quality standards and
specifications. The Lead Electrician also maintains accurate
records and documentation to support building information and
computerized maintenance management systems.

Required Qualifications
License
A valid driver's license is required for this position. Out of
state candidates selected for the position must obtain a State of
California driver's license within 10 days of hire in accordance
with the California Department of Motor Vehicles regulations.
Once hired the employee must successfully complete the Defensive
Driver Training Program provided by the State of California for
California State University campuses.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $8,167/month - $8,500/month
CSU Salary Range: $6,782/month - $8,756/month
