Job Description:
3-month contract - on W2 - PAY = $DOE
International travel may needed
Starting at concept creation, the Hardware team architects,
designs, develops, validates, and continues to support the product
through end of life. Our hardware design engineers are an integral
part of the entire process, especially involved in the system
design, factory bring up, and test/validation cycles of the
project.
The work:
Design future products by owning architecture selection, electrical
design and validation.
Lead the electrical engineering team to develop your product
including RF, sensors and other specialists. Work with all
cross-functional teams (software, product design, industrial
design, program management, operations, finance, etc.) to deliver a
successful product to market.
Validate your design: complete functional verification, signal
characterization, power modeling/test, and system coexistence
testing.
Bring your design to mass production by setting factory test
requirements, assisting in software bring up, traveling on-site to
the manufacturer to ensure the design is built and tested
successfully.
Prepare for the future: work with and manage
suppliers/manufacturing partners to establish mutually beneficial
relationships for future product designs.
Skills and experience needed:
? BS/MS EE or ECE, 1-4 years (junior HW design engineer) or 5+
years-experience (senior HW design engineer) needed
? Strong EE fundamentals, including ability to design high speed
digital and or analog systems.
? Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up and debugging,
functional verification and manufacturing support.
Experience with: embedded systems, processor selection, various
communication protocols (especially USB, SPI, I2C and UART), analog
design, sensor design, low power design, audio acoustics, various
RF technologies.
Tools: Cadence OrCAD & Allegro.
Position will require frequent international travel.
Hands-on lab experience (soldering, oscilloscopes, data
acquisition)
Contagious enthusiasm and passion for engineering
Experience with power design topologies preferred
Experience with audio/acoustic design preferred
